ProQuest Research Library is a collection of nearly 5.000 recent online academic journals and magazines in all disciplines, most of them in full text, with archives sometimes covering as much as 20 years or more of past publications. Periodicals Archive Online is a full text archive of over 400 digitized scholarly journals published in the arts, humanities and social sciences. It provides researchers with more than 200 years of scholarship, representing over 2 million articles. The New York Times Historical Archive (1851-2009) in real image format (pdf). The New York Times (1980-current) in full-text format. America: History and Life with full text is an index covering over 1700 journals (250 of which are available in full-text format) and books about the history and culture of the United States and Canada.
