Online Collections will contain digitised objects and electronic documents. The e-Depot is one of these collections and is the only collection which is actually accessible to the public.
What is in the e-Depot?
The e-Depot has been created because the Royal Library of Belgium, as a national library, has the obligation to store, make available and preserve electronic publications; the e-Depot includes Belgian publications (monographs, periodicals, …) from commercial publishers, associations, public administrations, universities, individuals… Publications of international organisations are also stored..
How to consult?
The search module of the e-Depot gives access to the bibliographical descriptions. The electronic documents can be consulted only at the Royal Library. Registered users (see “How to register”) can store search results in a save list.
How to register?
- Click "Deposit " on the start page
- Click " S'incrire " at the start page
- Complete the form (name, user id, password, …)
- If you want to deposit start your login with ed-”
- Your subscription will be confirmed by e-mail
How to deposit?
Electronic publications are deposited by the publisher and are stored in a temporary database. Accepted publications are transferred to the permanent database, where they managed by the library staff.
The publisher receives an e-mail confirming the receipt of the publication.
