Grab your chance this summer and visit KBR during the Brussels Renaissance Festival. Through lectures, workshops and culinary delights, you will discover the fragrances and colors of the 15th century!
The brand new restaurant on the 5th floor of KBR brings some 15th-century accents to the menu during the Brussels Renaissance Festival. On the menu are mackerel with gold-of-pleasure and hypocras, an ancient drink based on wine, honey or sugar and spices that also flowed abundantly at Philip the Good’s famous Feast of the Pheasant. Inspiration was drawn from the Mesnagier de Paris, a medieval cookbook of which the Dukes of Burgundy had a copy.
Burgundian dishes and drinks carry your taste buds away to the eventful period at the end of the Middle Ages. Those who prefer to stick to the 21st century can also enjoy contemporary dishes at the restaurant. And all this with a breathtaking view over Brussels or on a sun-drenched terrace.
