The Brussels Renaissance Festival highlights the role of Brussels in European history. At the end of the Middle Ages, Brussels belonged to the rich and powerful Dukes of Burgundy. Skilled politicians and cultured patrons, they established a stirring treasure, a unique and fascinating collection of manuscripts: the Library of the Dukes of Burgundy.
Many of these masterpieces have survived the ravages of time and of history. They are now preserved at KBR. Immerse yourself in the history of the 15th century and visit the KBR museum during the Brussels Renaissance Festival.
You will get to know the Burgundian dukes and their manuscript collection. Moreover, there is a lot to experience. Watch manuscript characters dance on the ceiling or let them whisper stories in your ear. Do you prefer to get hands-on with history? That’s possible. Design your own miniature, test your copying skills or date a manuscript.Discover the KBR museum Buy tickets
