DESCRIPTION:The Friends of the KBR museum are invited to an exclusive guided visit of the Museum Hof van Busleyden in Mechelen\, led by the museum’s curators. \nLocated in a beautifully restored Renaissance city palace\, the museum brings the cultural richness of the Burgundian Netherlands to life through art\, music\, and storytelling. \nHighlights include rare manuscripts\, polyphonic music\, and the extraordinary “Besloten Hofjes” (enclosed gardens). As kindred institutions\, the KBR museum and Hof van Busleyden both illuminate the legacy of the Burgundian era—making this visit particularly relevant and enriching. \nThe visit takes place in Dutch and French and is intended for a group of up to 30 participants. Transportation is not included. DESCRIPTION:For the very first time\, the KBR museum invites its friends to an exclusive concert reception. \nThis unique occasion offers an intimate encounter with art\, music\, and heritage in an exceptional atmosphere. \nThe evening begins at 6:30 pm with a reception in the magnificent Rotunda of the Palace of Charles of Lorraine\, an 18th-century architectural jewel. At 8 pm\, let yourself be captivated by the extraordinary sounds of Ensemble Utopia in the Chapel of Nassau\, famed for its remarkable acoustics. \nThe musical programme\, inspired by KBR’s collection of early music manuscripts\, will echo the golden age of 15th- and 16th-century polyphony—a precious treasure of our cultural heritage. From 8:45 to 9:30 pm\, the museum will open its doors exclusively for you\, offering a private evening visit in a calm and intimate setting. \nThis evening is reserved for friends of the KBR museum: \n\n\nSolo members may invite one guest. \n\n\nDuo members may invite a couple. \n\n\nAs places are limited\, please confirm your participation by 2 November 2025 by sending an email to development@kbr.be \nAbout Ensemble Utopia \nFounded in Antwerp\, Ensemble Utopia is an internationally renowned vocal ensemble specializing in polyphony\, with a strong focus on the Renaissance\, and in particular the 16th century.
