SUMMARY:Museum Night Fever
DESCRIPTION:Museum Night Fever is back for its 18th edition. Yes\, Brussels’ wildest museum night is finally of age – and the KBR museum is joining in! Enjoy the triple bill featuring the jazzy soul of Mona Mio and the acoustic sets by Cassandre and Mount Rose. Get your favorite miniature inked on your skin in the Nassau Chapel with Dori\, Graouh\, and Harissa. Or discover the museum’s spaces during the performance Laps (satellite) by Constance Diard. \n\n \n buy your ticket \n\n \n \n Discover the KBR museum \n\n \n  \nProgram at the KBR museum\nLaps (satellite)\nThe solo Laps (satellite) is inspired by reflections on entropy\, a concept in physics that describes the organization of a system. A connection is made between order and disorder\, simplicity and complexity\, as if to explore their endless variations. \nThrough dance\, a fleeting presence fills the space with clarity\, gradually turning chaotic. This performance\, conceived as a wandering through the spaces of the museum\, invites different eras and aesthetics to meet in a spellbinding and meditative journey.  \n\nConcept and performance: Constance Diard \nSound design: Antoine Degonville \nSchedule:\n\n8:00 – 8:30 PM\n9:30 – 10:00 PM\n11:00 – 11:30 PM\n\n\n\n  \nFlash Tattoo night \nLooking for something special to make the Museum Night Fever even more memorable? Get a flash tattoo at the Nassau Chapel with Dori\, Graouh\, and Harissa from Mue Tattoo for €60 per tattoo. The designs are inspired by imaginative miniatures from medieval manuscripts. Your chance to have your favorite drollery inked on your skin. Do you prefer something a bit less permament ? Stick-on temporary tattoos are also for sale\, €5 for 10 pieces. \n\nSchedule:\n\n7:00 PM – 1:00 PM\n\n\n\nIf you’re tempted by a tattoo\, please remember to bring cash or Payconiq\, as card payments are not possible in the Chapel of Nassau. Candidates can register on site for a time slot as soon as the venue opens. Arriving early is recommended! \nInto the Light \nImmerse yourself in a musical journey in two parts! Mona Mio unveils Into the Light and invites Cassandre and Mount Rose to intertwine their writing on stage. The evening will switch between an electric\, groovy and intense set by Mona Mio live band and the sensitive and refined acoustic performances of Cassandre and Mount Rose.   \nWriting is central to this project\, under the artistic direction of Mona Mio. Each artist defends a personal\, direct and uncompromising message. Through these contrasting formats\, there is stage energy on one side and raw intimacy on the other. Spotlight on Brussels’ emerging independent and committed scene\, driven by FINTA artists. A generation of performers for whom the stage is a place for words as much as for music.  \n\n\nSchedule:7:30 – 7:50 PM | Cassandre \n8:00 – 8:20 PM | Mona Mio \n8:30 – 8:50 PM | Mount Rose \n9:00 – 9:50 PM | Mona Mio \n10:00 – 10:30 PM | Mount Rose \n10:30 – 11:00 PM | Mona Mio \n11:30 PM – 12:00 AM | Cassandre \n12:00 – 12:50 AM | Mona Mio

SUMMARY:ARTONOV - Loïe Fuller : Research [Fully booked]
DESCRIPTION:With Loïe Fuller: Research\, choreographer Ola Maciejewska offers a new look at the serpentine dances invented by Loïe Fuller. Attracted by the sculptural construction\, an entity composed of textile\, bamboo sticks\, sounds\, air and the centrifugal force of the body in an active loop\, Maciejewska deconstructs this historical reference through hybrid forms produced by this construction. Invisible and visible\, material and ephemeral\, real and imaginary are carefully intertwined to play with what is given to see. Maciejewska had ‘negotiated with a ghost’ – the expression is hers – and played with the history of dance in order to create a visual poem\, a fantastic tale: a fascinating cabinet of curiosities that is at once timeless and contemporary. \nThe performance will be preceded by a short intimate concert (15 min) \n\n \n buy your ticket \n\n \n \n Discover the KBR museum \n\n \nThe ARTONOV Festival is inspired by the international Art Nouveau movement\, both for its philosophy and its implementation\, but also by the Japanese sensorial and multidisciplinary art. Its goal is to generate a convergence between the performing arts – music\, dance\, theatre – andfashion and visual arts\, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and creation in Art Nouveau and Art Deco houses and other venues of remarkable architecture in Brussels. \nThe Festival presents a dozen original and innovative artistic performances featuring young people and professionals. It aims to offer artists\, and primarily emerging artists\, the opportunity to develop their artistic projects in a spirit of collaboration between generations\, nationalities and artistic disciplines.

SUMMARY:Self-guided workshop: writing with a quill & painting with pigments
DESCRIPTION:At the end of the Middle Ages\, Brussels belonged to the dukes of Burgundy. These rich and powerful rulers and cultured benefactors built up a treasure of inestimable value: the Librairie\, a unique collection of manuscripts. Many of the works in this collection\, which have survived the ravages of time\, are preserved at KBR. You can admire them today at the KBR museum. \nCombine your visit to the museum with this self-guided drop-in session and explore your skills as a medieval miniaturist or copyist. We provide all the materials and set you up comfortably—you just have to let your creativity flow! \n  \nPainting with pigments\nIn the Middle Ages\, illuminators did not use watercolours or gouache in their studios. They made their colours directly from natural materials or pigments imported from faraway lands. Discover the pleasure of creating your own colours from powdered pigments and gum arabic\, then illuminate a coat of arms or a detail of a manuscript! \n  \nWriting with a quill\nTry your hand at calligraphy! Leave your phones\, games and tablets at home and become a copyist for a few hours. Quill in hand\, discover the art of tracing letters.
