KBR temporarily closed due to Covid-19 measures

KBR will remain closed for the public until Sunday 14 June. We are currently preparing to reopen on 15 June 2020.

Our employees are now working on the expansion of our digital services, so you can easily consult the collection remotely.

What does this mean in concrete terms?

  • We will soon be able to offer structural remote access to all electronic resources of KBR, including BelgicaPress and BelgicaPeriodicals.
  • On 15 June, we will open again for researchers who absolutely must physically consult certain documents. This will only be possible by appointment. It is the only way we can guarantee that not too many people will be present in the reading room at the same time.
  • We will also devote maximum effort to digitisation on demand, so that the number of people who have to physically consult the documents is limited. This system is currently being finalised.

These adjustments apply provided that the measures are not tightened. We will keep you informed of the situation via our social media channels. You can find the most recent updates on Facebook and Twitter.
