The Print room and Chalcography at the Royal Library of Belgium hosts a vast collection of prints and printing plates, dating from the 15th century up to contemporary work.

Parts of the historic plates and woodblocks are still printed today. An exciting way to get closer to the prints and their history.

For the first time, the Chalcography opens its collection to young artists. Art students from St Lucas School of Arts Antwerp and LUCA School of Arts Brussels will explore the collection of prints and their plates. They start a dialogue from their own artistic perspective and reflect on printing, reproduction and new media. This exciting journey will result in an exhibition at the Royal Library in March 2017.

29.03 > 29.04.2017

Free admission

The exhibition is located in the hallway between the General reading room and the Nassau Chapel (level 0).
