DESCRIPTION:In the Nassau Chapel\, Scherzi Musicali will be performing  masses and motets for 3 voices from manuscript MS 5557. This manuscript\, dating from 1450-1500 and kept at KBR\, is the only surviving choir book from the chapel of the Dukes of Burgundy. Its section of English composers captures a pivotal moment in the history of European music\, highlighting the reception of English polyphony on the continent.  \n  \nArtists\n\nAndrea Gavagnin\, countertenor\nJonathan Alvarado\, tenor\nNicolas Achten\, baritone\n\nThe programme was developed as part of the ARTONOV Festival in collaboration with KBR and Antonio Chemotti (KULeuven and KBR). \n\n		\n			buy your ticket		\n\n		 \n		\n			Discover the KBR museum		\n\n		 \n  \nThe ARTONOV Festival\nThe ARTONOV Festival is inspired by the international Art Nouveau movement\, both for its philosophy and its implementation\, but also by the Japanese sensorial and multidisciplinary art. Its goal is to generate a convergence between the performing arts – music\, dance\, theatre – andfashion and visual arts\, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and creation in Art Nouveau and Art Deco houses and other venues of remarkable architecture in Brussels. \nThe Festival presents a dozen original and innovative artistic performances featuring young people and professionals. It aims to offer artists\, and primarily emerging artists\, the opportunity to develop their artistic projects in a spirit of collaboration between generations\, nationalities and artistic disciplines.
