DESCRIPTION:For the final concert of the 2025–2026 season\, KBR welcomes two internationally renowned soloists: violinist Tatiana Samouil and pianist Johan Schmidt. DESCRIPTION:For the final concert of 2025\, KBR will welcome the Quartetto Goldberg\, an ensemble whose name echoes J. S. Bach’s famous Goldberg Variations. Violinists Jingzhi Zhang and Giacomo Lucato\, violist Matilde Simionato and cellist Martino Simionato are currently pursuing their training at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel\, with which KBR has enjoyed a long-standing collaboration. DESCRIPTION:Bram Nolf (oboe)\, Luc Loubry (bassoon) and Hans Ryckelynck (piano) will let their instruments resonate in duo or trio formations\, in a programme with Belgian music at its heart\, featuring works by Absil\, Craens and Poot. These pieces will also enter into dialogue with the Trio for Oboe\, Bassoon and Piano composed by Francis Poulenc in 1926. DESCRIPTION:Since 2024\, KBR has hosted part of the collections as well as the staff of the libraries of the two Brussels conservatories (KCB and CrB)\, following the closure of the historic building on Rue de la Régence for renovation. The agreement concluded with the CrB to open our hall to its classes is now becoming a reality with this first concert\, in which young violinists will explore a rich and varied repertoire. DESCRIPTION:Our Lunchtime Concert season will open with a concert celebrating Théo Ysaÿe\, a Belgian pianist and composer whose work is rightly enjoying renewed interest. KBR is actively contributing to this rediscovery\, as its music collections hold many of the composer’s scores. This year marks the 160th anniversary of his birth\, and among these treasures are a manuscript and the first edition of the Piano Quintet op. 5\, preserved in the Eugène Ysaÿe collection as well as in the sources entrusted to the Music Department by Bozar in 2023.
