Music Reading Room
The Music Department’s Reading Room is located on the 4th floor.
Covid-19: adapted service
- All collections have to be consulted in the General reading room.
- Seat reservation is required.
- Please reserve your documents 2 working days in advance (reference works too).
How to consult the documents
You have direct access to a range of reference works, catalogues, books and scores. If you want to consult any of the documents in closed stacks, please order them via the online catalogue. Requested documents are issued at regular times:
- 9.30 a.m.
- 10.30 a.m.
- 11.30 a.m.
- 12.30 p.m.
- 2.30 p.m.
- 3.30 p.m.
- 4 p.m.
Viewing precious works such as the Fétis Collection or musical manuscripts requires the curator’s permission. Please make a request in advance by email or in the Reading Room. The curator may refuse access to some documents.
Copies and reproductions
If you need a copy of an article or a score, please ask the staff of the Department. Please note: this service is subject to strict rules, the number of copies is limited and intellectual property rights must be observed. We try to deliver the copies to you the same day.
