This sample is only part of the collections of the Medals Department of KBR. The entire collection of religious medals is estimated to consist of 25,000 pieces.
How to research religious medals?
This catalog features a selection of devotional medals from the Catholic faith: approximately 1,340 pieces from the Ancien Régime (16th–18th centuries) are described here. You can search for them by entering the terms “religious medals” in the “object type” field.
You can also conduct searches by entering the name of a saint or a place of worship (for example: basilica, chapel, Montaigu, or other) in the “caption” and “description” fields. Other keywords may be used depending on what you are looking for.
Some medals are dated, so you can search for them in the “date” field.
