Workshop “The manuscript from A to Z”

During this visit to the KBR museum, students will find out the answers to the following questions about medieval manuscripts. How were they made and what materials did they require? What does parchment look like?

They discover that not all miniatures are super small, that the gold in manuscripts is real and why some pigments used for colours in manuscripts are almost priceless.

They get to work with a quill and ink and discover what monk’s work really means. Discover how much fun it is to make paint from pigment powder and acacia gum and paint yourself a coat of arms or a detail from a manuscript!
