KBR houses a small concert hall on the 4th floor. Six times a year we organise a musical encounter.

In 2019, KBR renovated the palace of Charles of Lorraine, an 18th-century palace encased in the library building. The palace was transformed into a beautiful exhibition space, the first exhibition being “The World of Bruegel in Black and White“. The exhibition showed a complete collection of Bruegel’s prints in the context of the Bruegel Year.
In 2022 an exhibition about the world-famous jazz musician Toots Thielemans will take place at KBR. The Toots Thielemans fund that is conserved at KBR contains hundreds of photos, press clippings, about fifty scores, books, letters and other objects that illustrate the eventful life of the musician.
